Video Games Association d'estudiants de la Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona (VGAFIB) is a non-profit association of students from the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) of the UPC Barcelona Tech. Its main objective is familiarizing young people with the game industry by organizing conferences and meetings. At the same time, the association initiates and improves the knowledge of its members about this industry, providing them with a both practical and theoretical education and involving them in projects, sometimes even with the collaboration of game companies.
Moreover, it also aims to provide to non-members our acquired knowledge through courses at the faculty (FIB) and public access articles published in our wiki, which are tutorials written by our members from their own experience or translations of other people tutorials that have been useful for some members.  Ja s'apropa el final de quadrimestre, i enguany VGAFIB se sent molt orgullosa de presentar el seu curs d'hivern:
Introducció al desenvolupament de videojocs
Es tracta d’un curs per a iniciar als alumnes en la programació de videojocs. A banda d'explicar els conceptes bàsics que diferencien a un videojoc d'una aplicació software habitual,
es realitzarà un projecte pràctic utilitzant l'eina gratuïta Unity3D.
Les dates dels cursos son del 25 de gener al 3 de febrer. El curs te una durada de 32 hores i s'impartirà en dos torns: de matins de 9:30 a 14:00 i de tardes de 15:00 a 19:30.
El curs convalida per 3 crèdits ALE en les enginyeries informàtiques de la FIB. Malauradament no s'han definit encara els paràmetres per poder convalidar el curs en el Grau,
així que de moment no podem assegurar res en aquest aspecte.
El preu del curs és de 140 €, però estiguis atent al nostre facebook i twitter per a possibles descomptes i promocions! A més a més els assistents a l'anterior Global Game Jam Barcelona tenen un descompte assegurat de 10 €!

Cada año se celebra la Global Game Jam, un evento a nivel mundial donde personas de todo el mundo participan en un concurso donde se desarrolla un videojuego en 48 horas.
Para que la GGJ cada vez sea mas global, la organización central anima a la gente a inscribir y organizar una Game Jam en su ciudad para que todos los concursantes puedan participar en su ciudad. Solo piden dos condiciones: Que la Game Jam se haga en una fecha concreta y que los juegos tengan la temática que ellos dicten. VGAFIB ha hecho posible que haya una localidad de la Global Game Jam en Barcelona.
